Battle of Cowan’s Ford
This famous battle that was fought on February 1, 1781, was actually the last battle of the American Revolution that was done in the area. Although the original battle site lies under Lake Norman, a memorial site is located across from Duke Energy Nuclear Station.
Cedar Grove
